Treffender könnte eine Bezeichnung kaum sein: Kabelbinder binden Kabel fest - sie schaffen also Übersicht und sorgen dafür, dass mehrere Kabel nicht frei umher wackeln oder ständig verrutschen können. Gleichermaßen lässt sich damit die Kabelfläche minimieren, da die jeweiligen Kabel fest in der Schlinge des Kabelbinders zusammengezogen werden. Diese kleinen Hilfsmittel sind überall da eine Überlegung wert, wo mehrere Kabel von elektronischen Geräten aneinander verlaufen.

Funktionsweise und Anwendung der Kabelbinder

Handwerkliches Geschick oder spezielle Kenntnisse sind natürlich nicht erforderlich, wenn mit Hilfe von Kabelbindern dem Kabelsalat ein Ende bereitet wird. Die Kabelbinder werden einfach um die losen Kabel an Ort und Stelle gelegt, anschließend werden beide Enden miteinander verbunden und die daraus entstandene Schlinge fest zusammengezogen. Diese kann aufgrund der Verzahnung fortan auch nicht mehr verrutschen. Die Kabel werden also, so als würde man sie in die Hand nehmen und zusammenbündeln, eng aneinander bewegt und da festgehalten. Das schafft Freiraum, Ordnung und Übersicht, selbst da wo viele Kabel parallel oder kreuz und quer zueinander verlaufen.

Bei der Anbringung der Kabelbinder ist darauf zu achten, dass die Schlinge nicht zu fest gezogen wird. Sie soll die Kabel fixieren und festhalten, aber nicht in die Kabel einschneiden. Außerdem sollten die Kabel bei der Fixierung nicht unnötig gebogen, gedreht oder geknickt werden. Teilweise ist es, je nachdem wie die Kabel verlaufen, daher empfehlenswert mehrere Kabelbinder zu nutzen, statt Kabel auf unnatürliche Weise zu stark zu verdrehen. Worauf ist beim Kauf von Kabelbindern zu achten?

In erster Linie auf die Beschaffenheit des Kabelbinders selbst. Hier gibt es mehrere Kriterien, die für Sie von Wichtigkeit sein könnten. An erster Stelle steht das verwendete Material. Polyamid 6.6 gilt als ein sehr strapazierfähiges, aber auch elastisches Material. Dadurch haben Sie die Möglichkeit die Kabelbinder genauso anzubringen, wie Sie es benötigen. Gleichermaßen sind die Kabelbinder durch beigefügten Ruß weitgehend UV-resistent. Sie können also auch Kabel miteinander verbinden und fixieren, die regelmäßig oder fortlaufend der Sonneneinstrahlung unterstehen.

Achten Sie auf die Angaben der maximalen Betriebstemperatur und stellen Sie sicher, dass dieses Spektrum nicht von den gebundenen Kabeln überschritten wird. Zudem muss das Band, mit seinen Maßen, natürlich zu den jeweiligen Kabeln passen. Die für Sie wichtigen Angaben dahingehend sind einerseits die Bandbreite und -länge, andererseits der maximale Bündeldurchmesser. Wenn Sie lediglich wenige dünne Kabel miteinander fixieren wollen, reicht eine kleinere Ausführung. Bei mehreren dicken Kabeln mit großem Volumen, müssen Sie darauf achten, dass diese gebündelt nicht den maximalen Bündeldurchmesser überschreiten und der Kabelbinder außerdem dick genug ist, um diese zu fixieren. Die Bandlänge spielt ebenso eine Rolle und muss mit dem Kabelvolumen und der Kabelanzahl zunehmen.
