Rohrdoppelnippel

 

Rohrdoppelnippel sind ein essentieller Bestandteil bei der Konstruktion von Rohrleitungssystemen. Das kurze Rohrstück mit beidseitigem Außengewinde dient dazu, zwei Rohre miteinander zu verbinden. Es wird verwendet, wenn eine längere Verbindung erforderlich ist oder Rohre verbunden werden müssen, die nicht direkt miteinander verschraubt werden können. Materialien für Rohrdoppelnippel

Die gängigsten Materialien für Rohrdoppelnippel sind Messing und Edelstahl.

Messing ist besonders korrosions- und rostbeständig, was es ideal für Anwendungen macht, in denen Wasser oder feuchte Umgebungen vorhanden sind. Zudem hat das Material sehr gute mechanische Eigenschaften. Seine hohe Festigkeit und Härte macht es besonders langlebig und widerstandsfähig gegenüber mechanischem Verschleiß. Wegen ihrer guten Wärmeleitfähigkeit werden Rohrdoppelnippel aus Messing häufig in Heizungs- und Kühlsystemen verwendet.

Messing lässt sich zudem leicht bearbeiten und formen. Allerdings kann das Material bei sehr hohen Temperaturen seine Festigkeit verlieren, was es für Hochtemperaturanwendungen weniger geeignet macht.

Edelstahl ist äußerst korrosionsbeständig und eignet sich daher gut für Anwendungen in aggressiven Umgebungen, einschließlich solcher mit Chemikalien oder Salzwasser. Das Material hat eine hohe Zugfestigkeit und hält auch hohem Druck sowie mechanischem Stress stand. Es behält seine mechanischen Eigenschaften bei hohen Temperaturen bei und ist daher auch für Hochtemperaturanwendungen sehr gut geeignet. Edelstahl hat eine lange Lebensdauer und erfordert nur wenig Wartung. Im Vergleich zu Messing leitet Edelstahl Wärme allerdings weniger effizient.


Abmessungen und Gewinde

Die Länge des Rohrdoppelnippels ist entscheidend für die richtige Passform in der Rohrleitung. Sie sollte so gewählt werden, dass die Rohre sicher miteinander verbunden sind, ohne zu viel Spielraum zu lassen. Entscheidend ist, dass Durchmesser, Nenngröße und Gewindeart der Rohrdoppelnippel zu den verwendeten Rohren passen. Folgende Gewindearten kommen vorrangig zur Anwendung:

  • G-Gewinde: gerade Gewinde sind parallel und erfordern normalerweise eine Dichtung,
  • BSP-Gewinde: Rohrdoppelnippel mit Gewinde nach British Standard Pipe finden nicht nur in Großbritannien Verwendung; sie sind konisch und erfordern eine Abdichtung,
